Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Festus Middle School Expansion

(FESTUS) With the current Festus R-6 fourth grade class standing behind school board members, Middle School Principal Jacob Munoz and R-6 Superintendent Dr. Nikki Ruess, an official groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday afternoon at the Festus Middle School for the expansion and improvements project.
We spoke with Dr. Ruess after the ceremony and she is glad the project is underway.
According to Ruess, the expansion will include ten new classrooms and other enhancements.
Ruess expects the project to be completed by August of 2025.
