JCSO Crime Lab Groundbreaking Set for May

(HILLSBORO, PEVELY) The groundbreaking ceremony for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office joint building with the Rock Township Ambulance District was held this past week. Now it seems the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sheriff’s Office crime lab will be held next month. Sheriff Dave Marshak says this facility will be a huge “game changer” for the region.

Sheriff Marshak says they are in possession of several pieces of evidence that the state crime lab can’t test due to the overwhelming numbers already waiting to be looked over. He says once the lab is up and running, the process will be sped up dramatically.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Jefferson County crime lab will be held on May 6th. The lab will be built alongside the sheriff’s office evidence storage facility in Pevely.
