Josh Mapes Named Next Potosi Girls Basketball Coach

The Potosi Lady Trojans basketball team has solidified one of the area’s most successful coaches to lead their team next season. Josh Mapes will return to his alma mater to replace Allie Golden, who left the team midway through Potosi’s 7-19 season. Mapes says the decision to go to Potosi was easy.

Mapes says this opportunity holds a lot of meaning.

Mapes has over twenty years of coaching experience. He’s won over 250 games including a state championship at Central in 2015, as well as nine district championships. He spent last season as an assistant with Farmington’s girls basketball team. Mapes will also be the athletic director at Potosi next year.
