New Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Now Ready For Duty

(HILLSBORO) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has added a new K-9 to its ranks recently. Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak says while the cost associated with having K-9’s is pretty expensive, the stories of successes have been great.

Sheriff Marshak says many neighboring law enforcement agencies don’t have K-9 units or limited units, so their county K-9s are called in to assist frequently.

Deputy Brad O’Donnell along with his canine “Murphy”, just recently completed their latest round of training, and are now on active duty. Murphy is a year-and-a-half-old German shepherd and will be a multipurpose dog.
