Schirmer is Perfect Against De Soto, Winning 7-0
(FESTUS)    Mason Schirmer, left handed junior hurler for the Festus Tigers pitched a perfect seven inning game Thursday at home, blanking the De Soto Dragons 7-0.  The game was broadcast on KJFF 1400am and mymoinfo.com
Schirmer struckout 15 batters enroute to the masterpiece.  Schirmer said everything was working well for him and teammate Trenton Young was great behind the plate.

De Soto Coach Matt Buechting complimented Schirmer.

With a shot at securing a conference title, Festus Coach Jeff Montgomery said Schirmer really wanted to do well.

Montgomery says a good defensive play by freshman second baseman Brayden Good helped keep the perfect game alive.

Besides the 15 strikeouts, Schirmer got two flyballs for outs to right fielder William Reese, a pop out to first baseman Jackson Smith and groundouts to second baseman Brayden Good, a hot shot back to the mound that Schirmer knocked down and then tossed to first base and a groundout to shortstop Hayden Bates.
The Tigers scored seven runs on five hits, they were helped out with five walks and five hit batters.  Dragon starter Connor Heister took the loss.
Festus is now 20-5 and De Soto slips to 13-10.  Both teams face each other again Friday afternoon in De Soto.
