Tornado Confirmed in Jefferson County

(High Ridge) A weak EF1 tornado was surveyed from southwest of Eureka to High Ridge.

The National Weather Service says the worst damage was located in northern Jefferson County along Twin Rivers Road.

The tornado length was 7.8 miles with a maximum width of 40 yards.

There were some power poles blown down and at least one building destroyed.

However, there were no injuries or fatalities from Thursday evening’s tornado in Jefferson and St. Louis counties.
